JCC Scam Alert:

Californians report receiving scam text messages impersonating the Judicial Branch of California and directing them to fake payment websites. These messages are not legitimate, and the Judicial Branch does not send unsolicited texts. If you receive one, do not open any links or reply.

DMV Scam Alert:

Californians report receiving deceptive texts claiming unpaid tolls from the DMV. The DMV never requests personal or financial information via text. If you receive one, do not open or reply. Please refer to DMV website for more information: https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/

Free Public Wi-Fi

Members of the public may bring laptops into the Merced courthouse. Laptops are still not allowed in the juvenile courthouse.

The Superior Court of California, County of Merced offers free wireless internet access for the public, jurors, justice partners, attorneys, and court employees.

You may check your email, download files for court, or view the court’s website for access to calendars or other court news or information while visiting court facilities.
